Full profile.

At first glance, Rhiannon might seem like any other girl you might meet in a well-off city like Mujhara. With black hair and eyes, a fair complexion and a decent figure she managed to get a job in one of Homana-Mujhara's more respectable taverns, the Rampant Lion. It was there that she got her first up-close glimpse of Niall's three sons: Brennan and his twin Hart, and their younger brother Corin.

From there Rhiannon and Brennan struck up a friendship, with Rhiannon acting every inch the enamoured girl caught up in the mystique of a man with a rank and a title - and a Cheysuli warrior at that. But nobody - not even Brennan knew who or what Rhiannon really was.

When Brennan was kidnapped by Jarek Rhiannon came to help rescue him and bring him back to the castle. There she told everyone that Jarek was the child Lillith had gotten off of Ian twenty years previously, and that Brennan had killed him.

Thinking the threat Lillith's child posed had ended with Jarek, everyone - including Ian, who had no love at all for his own child that he'd fathered - welcomed Rhiannon into Homana's Royal House of Lions. There she became part of Deirdre's lady courtiers and a friend to Brennan, who was the one to come to her rescue when she was assaulted by a foreign lordling after refusing his advances the day she and Brennan first saw each other. Later on she and Brennan would end up in bed together, where Rhiannon's plot began to take shape.

Just like Lillith Rhiannon had plans for Brennan. And like Lillith she would do what she could to get it, but instead of stealling Brennan's lir, the mountain cat Sleeta, Rhiannon would rely far more on guile and inherant naivetee to achive her ends.

A few weeks later Rhiannon happened upon Brennan who had been sent by his father to stop Brennan's cousin Teirnan from kin-wrecking himself in front of Clan Council. There in the forest she told Brennan that she was pregnant, and was Brennan upset by it? He told her no; all children are welcomed in the clans regardless of such things as "legitimacy" and the like.

It was then that Rhiannon revealed herself to Brennan. Brennan had not killed Lillith's child when he killed Jarek, because Rhiannon was Lillith's child, and the child she carried - Brennan's child as well - would be an Ihlini-Cheysuli bastard, and would be raised to serve the Seker.

After that, she kidnapped Brennan and brought him to Valgaard where Strahan would try his best to bend Hart, Brennan and Corin to his will and get them to serve him and his noxious god, Asar-Suti.

Brennan would later escape, but there was nothing he could do to prevent the birth of Rhiannon's child*.

Two years later Rhiannon and the now-kin-wrecked Teirnan formed an alliance to destroy the prophecy: Teirnan because he feared that fulfillment would mean the loss of the lir and Rhiannon because it meant her race would no longer exist.

It's not known what the nature of their relationship was, but it's possible that the two had become lovers during that time.

And during that time they would come across Keely while she performed the rites of i'toshaa-ni, casting a spell upon her to make her try and kill her brother Brennan, an attempt that also ended in failure.

Mun's notes.

Very little else is known about Rhiannon, like what became of her after Book Eight when the prophecy of the Firstborn was fulfilled. She might've died before the prophecy was completed, or after, or she might even have found herself stripped of her powers and ended up dying shortly afterwards.

With Rhiannon there is much room for speculation.

NOTE: As of September 18, 2005, Rhiannon has gone from speculation regarding her abilities re her Cheysuli parentage and into AU. I'm sure some people would say that the post linked to doesn't include an actual shapechange, but to me it's the turning point because it's here where Rhiannon takes the beginning steps towards learning and understanding the other half of her heritage and thus has made the leap into the AU-verse.
